“In such a decision, the Fifa DRC noted that the player and Kaizer bosses signed a new contract while the player was still under contract with Fosa Juniors FC / Madagascar.
“Given these circumstances, Fifa DRC concluded that the Player unilaterally terminated the Employment Agreement with Fosa Juniors FC without just cause.
“As a consequence, the player, together with Kaizer Chiefs FC, was ordered to jointly pay compensation of… US $ 40,000… to Fosa Juniors FC.
“Additionally, the player was imposed a four-month period of ineligibility, and Kaizer Chiefs FC was prohibited from registering new players domestically or internationally for two full and consecutive registration periods.
“The CAS Panel in charge of this matter has dismissed the appeal and confirmed the Contested Decision in its entirety.”
The news came as the Chiefs, under new coach Gavin Hunt, were preparing to face Chippa United in Tuesday night’s Premier League DStv game at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.
