Five men accused of murdering two Polokwane businesswomen were on the dock Monday.
Five people appeared in Polokwane Magistrates Court on Monday in connection with the execution-style murder of two businesswomen.
Mbekezi Ndondo Buthelezi, 25, John Richard Zulu, 30, Bhekinlenzo Sfiso Phigose, 34, Stanley Thabo Leshabane, 57, and Emanuel Tembtiani Dlamini, 30, were charged with two counts of murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
The deceased, Makoena Mabusela-Leshabane, 46, and Tebogo Mphuti, 35, were shot dead in Polokwane on 10 October.
According to Hawks spokesman Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi, the defendants were arrested Thursday after an extensive investigation that included the Limpopo Provincial Investigation Team, the Tracking Team and the Magama Investigators.
Stanley Thabo Leshabane is the husband of Mabusela-Leshabane.

He was arrested at the hospital, where he was admitted after allegedly attempting suicide, News24 reported.
The matter was postponed until November 2. The accused will remain in detention.
