On Tuesday, he is in Cape Town Magistrates Court on one count of conspiracy to murder in connection with an attack on Booth at his Higgovale home in April.
Kilian allegedly tracked Detective Kinnear’s cell phone back to the day of his murder.
The new charge is understood to relate to allegations that Kilian also tracked criminal defense attorney Booth’s cell phone prior to the attempt on his life.
Kilian’s attorney, Eric Breyer, maintains that his client was not involved in any of the crimes in which he is implicated.
“I don’t know the number of pings, we have not been given a copy of the pings, but there are more than thousands in a one-year period. So your name, my name could appear on the ping list so I can resume, there could be more charges. ”
NPA spokesman Eric Ntabazalila said the state had also filed a fraud charge against Kilian.
“(It is) related to that certificate that is presented that he is a private investigator.”
