Washington – Democratic presidential hopeful Joe Biden led President Donald Trump by a solid margin in Wisconsin and held a narrower lead in Pennsylvania with just over a week to Election Day, Reuters / Ipsos opinion polls showed. Monday.

Reuters / Ipsos is polling potential voters in six states – Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan, North Carolina, Florida and Arizona – who will play a critical role in deciding whether Trump wins a second term or whether Biden removes him.

Below is a state-by-state analysis of the Reuters / Ipsos findings, based on online responses from likely voters, including responses from some who voted before the formal election day of November 3. Early voting has soared to record highs amid the coronavirus pandemic.

WISCONSIN (October 20-26):

* Vote for Biden: 53%

* Vote for Trump: 44%

* Biden’s lead is marginally wider than his 51% -43% lead the previous week.

* 33% said they had already voted.

* 52% said that Biden would be better at handling the coronavirus pandemic. 38% said Trump would be better off.

* 47% said Trump would be better at managing the economy. 45% said Biden would be better.

PENNSYLVANIA (October 20-26):

* Vote for Biden: 50%

* Vote for Trump: 45%

* Biden’s lead is marginally wider than it was the week before when it rose 49% -45%, a lead that was on the edge of the poll’s credibility range.

* 21% said they had already voted.

* 50% said Biden would be better at handling the coronavirus pandemic. 42% said Trump would be better off.

* 50% said Trump would handle the economy better. 43% said Biden would be better off.

FLORIDA (Oct. 14 – Oct. 20)

* Vote for Biden: 50%

* Vote for Trump: 46%

* Biden’s apparent advantage is on the edge of the poll’s credibility range.

* An earlier poll showed the two to be essentially the same, with Biden at 49% and Trump at 47%.

* 21% said they had already voted.

* 50% said that Biden would be better at handling the coronavirus pandemic. 42% said Trump would be better off.

* 51% said Trump would be better at managing the economy. 45% said Biden would be better off.

ARIZONA (October 14 to October 21):

* Vote for Biden: 49%

* Vote for Trump: 46%

* With the margin within the credibility interval of the survey, the race is statistically tied.

* The previous poll showed Biden with a 50% -46% lead that was on the edge of the poll’s credibility range.

* 27% said they had already voted.

* 49% said that Biden would be better at handling the coronavirus pandemic. 43% said Trump would be better off.

* 48% said Trump would handle the economy better. 45% said Biden would be better off.

MICHIGAN (from October 14 to October 20):

* Vote for Biden: 51%

* Vote for Trump: 44%

* Biden was up 51% -43% the week before.

* 28% said they had already voted.

* 52% said that Biden would be better at handling the coronavirus pandemic. 40% said Trump would be better off.

* 48% said Trump would handle the economy better. 45% said Biden would be better off.

NORTH CAROLINA (October 14 – October 20):

* Vote for Biden: 49%

* Vote for Trump: 46%

* Since the margin is within the credibility range of the poll, the race is statistically tied, as it was in the previous poll when Biden was 48% versus Trump’s 47%.

* 18% said they had already voted.

* 49% said that Biden would be better at handling the coronavirus pandemic. 45% said Trump would be better off.

* 51% said Trump would be better at managing the economy. 43% said Biden would be better off.
