Patrice Evra has named three problems Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must solve in order to take Manchester United to the next level.
There’s no denying the fact that Manchester United are looking a lot better now than they were a couple of weeks ago. A 6-1 loss at Old Trafford at the hands of José Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur must have sounded the alarm bells in the boardroom, as it seemed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was already walking the tightrope of management.
However, things have improved dramatically since then. A 4-1 win at Newcastle United calmed nerves after the international break. And a 2-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League must have helped the team regain confidence. This was followed by a close 0-0 draw against Chelsea.
All in all, the fans would surely have taken away the results they got in these games if they had the option after that debacle against the Spurs. However, there is no denying that this team can improve even more. And Patrice Evra has pointed out the three problems that Solskjaer must solve as soon as possible.
As reported by the Manchester Evening News, he said:
“I think now Ole [Gunnar Solskaer] You will reach a point where you will have to make big decisions.
“Central defender because, sorry, Axel Tuanzebe was incredible. He put Neymar and Mbappé in his pocket, he deserved to play!
“Are we going to stay with a back four, will we go to a three? We’ll see, I know Ole has big decisions to make.
“Like Van de Beek, Paul [Pogba] on the bench, I’d say it’s a good time for United ”.

Ole certainly has some big decisions to make over the course of the next few weeks. The center-back has been a big problem for the Red Devils for quite some time. And after Tuanzebe’s performance in Paris, it will be difficult to keep him out of the team for much longer.
Training would also be a cause for concern. The club had its biggest success of the season playing with three at the rear against PSG. But with all the attacking talent they have, switching to a three-man baseline might not be sustainable.
And finally there is the problem with players like Donny van de Beek and Paul Pogba. The Dutchman has found minutes hard to come by since moving to Old Trafford. The Frenchman, for his part, has been relegated to the bench in recent weeks and has been used exclusively as a substitute for impact.
Many options to do. However, one thing is for sure. It’s going to be an interesting ride as long as Ole is behind the wheel.
