Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he has learned a lot after lining up four attackers against Sheffield United. Liverpool emerged victorious 2-1 on a difficult night after missing a goal courtesy of a Sander Berge penalty. But Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota scored to see Merseyside head three points.

Liverpool may have been victorious 2-1 over Sheffield United, but Klopp isn’t 100% convinced by their attacking strength.

The Reds had to come back from a goal against after Berge scored from the penalty spot, although the decision to award a penalty was not without controversy.

Regardless, the Premier League champions showed the mettle to return to the game after Firmino scored before the half-time whistle.

After the break, summer signing Jota scored the eventual winner at the hour mark.

It leads the Reds to second place in the league, behind Merseyside rivals Everton, on goal difference alone.

Liverpool looked dangerous up front against the Blades, but Klopp wasn’t entirely happy with the balance.

The German coach used his full attack force, with Mohamed Salah at the fore.

Behind him were scorers Jota and Firmino, as well as Sadio Mane, whose impact was vital to Liverpool’s comeback.

But Klopp identified where his side went wrong and also revealed the turning point.

“We were a bit shaken at first. We had four offensive players on the court, but they all offered the same option, “he told Sky Sports.

“A really good partnership at the rear, but they have a tough job to do. The penalty awarded was clear that it was a challenge to win the ball.

“We’re on the wrong side of another decision, but luckily we could fix that tonight, so maybe I shouldn’t talk too much about it.”

Liverpool do not have much time to rest as this Tuesday they will face FC Midtjylland in the Champions League.
