JOHANNESBURG – Senekal Magistrates Court heard Tuesday morning that a state witness who claimed Brendin Horner’s alleged killers had bragged in a tavern about assaulting a white farmer had received death threats.
The investigating officer in the case testified in the bail application for Sekwetje Mahlamba and Sekola Matlaletsa.
The couple were handcuffed earlier this month after Horner’s body was found tied to a fence at the farm where he worked at Paul Roux.
The murder sparked racial tensions, clearly targeting the small Free State town.
