The Hawks arrested a former Northwest city manager for allegedly fraudulently awarding R5 million tenders.

The former official was previously in Ratlou Township.

According to North West Hawks spokesman Captain Tlangani Rikhotso, the suspect allegedly did not follow the bidding processes.

The suspect was expected to appear in court on Monday, where more information was expected to be revealed.
