Online retailer Takealot has confirmed that its annual Blue Dot sale will return for Black Friday 2020.
While Black Friday is an American tradition, local retailers have embraced it in large numbers. Black Friday is particularly popular with ecommerce players and is now South Africa’s largest online shopping day.
Takealot said the sale will launch sometime in November and that thousands of products will be for sale in 28 different departments, including deals at:
- Technological products;
- Products for the home and kitchen;
- Leisure, sports and toys offers;
- Essential items for day to day;
- Media offers.
Takelaot said their Blue Dot Sale is not just a one-day sale and hundreds of new offers will be added daily.
He said shoppers can also expect savings on Cyber Monday and Takealot Tuesday.
The group said it will also offer a number of exclusive offers through its mobile app.
“With hundreds of new offers added daily, there has never been a better way to shop for televisions, toys, phones, fragrances, games, and more,” Takealot said.
