A former president and his future ex-wife are fighting over their assets, as she claims she is hiding her “secret financial affairs,” according to a Sunday Times report.

The two parties cannot be named due to a Constitutional Court ruling.

The woman reportedly presented court documents Thursday seeking a divorce from the former president. She alleged that she suffered emotional abuse by the former president, her financial support was withdrawn for two years and that “third parties” interfered in the marriage.

According to the report, the wife wants 170,000 rand per month for herself and the children, and medical and educational expenses, along with a contribution of 50,000 rand for her legal fees.

He also reportedly requires you to disclose your finances.

She claims her husband has the financial support and backing of influential people in neighboring states and says she will be able to prove it in court.

He reportedly needs a monthly maintenance to cover his expenses, which include three domestic workers, an au pair, a personal assistant and a tutor. You also need to replace a luxury vehicle that was repossessed by a bank last year because you could no longer pay the fees.

The former president’s attorney told the Sunday Times that he was unaware that the divorce papers had been filed and that as such he could not comment.
