CAPE TOWN – Eastern Cape Police are searching for two armed suspects following an attack on a farm near the Addo area that left two injured.

The incident occurred at a Bed & Breakfast rural house on Friday night.

It is understood that five guests were sitting in the braai area when one of them noticed suspicious behavior.

“One of the guests noticed that there was a group of about five suspects wearing ski masks crawling on the ground towards them and raised the alarm. One of the suspects started firing and one of the bullets hit the victim in the upper part of the body, ”said police spokesman Sergeant Majola Nkohli in a statement.

A second victim was also injured when one of the bullets grazed his thigh.

“During the chaos, a second victim suffered a minor wound after one of the bullets grazed his thigh. The suspects managed to steal a laptop, wallet, purse and cell phone before fleeing the scene on foot. A case of attempted murder (two counts) and a second count of burglary are under investigation, ”said Nkohli.

Police were urging those who might have information to come forward.
