The Daily Mail reported Saturday that Jennifer Arcuri, when asked if she was having an affair with Johnson, said: “I think it goes without saying … she’s quite out there.”
In an interview with the newspaper, Arcuri says that Johnson, who was married to his second wife Marina Wheeler at the time, bombarded her with “avalanches of passion.”
Arcuri gave several television interviews after the allegations came to light, saying she and Johnson had enjoyed a “very special relationship,” though she repeatedly declined to say if they had had an affair.
Johnson was Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. He became Prime Minister last year.
Downing Street did not immediately comment.

The Independent Office of Police Conduct (IOPC) launched an investigation in September 2019 following a newspaper report that Johnson, when he was Mayor of London, had not disclosed his personal ties to Arcuri, who received thousands of pounds in public funds and venues. in official trade. excursions.
Johnson denied wrongdoing, saying that everything was done with total correctness and that there was no interest to declare.
In May, the IOPC said it would not face criminal action.
The matter was referred to the watchdog because Johnson was chief of the Mayor’s Office of Police and Crime, a role equivalent to a police commissioner, during his tenure as mayor.
