Willem Alberts is tackled during the Super Rugby match between the Blues and the Lions at Eden Park.
Gazelle Willem alberts has been withdrawn from the Lions team to tackle the Stormers in Cape Town after close contact with a person who tested positive for Covid-19.
The Lions said through a press release that Alberts was tested and licensed on Monday, but the latest development will put it in quarantine.
Its position as the initial lock will be taken by Ruben schoeman.
Saturday’s clash at Newlands starts at 7pm
