Nyiko Shiburi has has been appointed Managing Director of MultiChoice South Africa, replacing Mark Rayner, who recently announced his resignation from the pay TV operator.

Until now, Nyiko has served as Regional Director for MultiChoice Africa: Southern Region, a position spanning nine countries. His appointment is part of the major senior management changes announced Friday.

“Nyiko is an extremely experienced leader and has successfully navigated the complexity of multiple territories and businesses, working with deeply trained teams within the organization, as well as a multitude of stakeholders in our ecosystem,” said Calvo Mawela, CEO of MultiChoice Group, in a statement. on Friday.

Fhulufhelo Badugela will take over Shiburi’s old job. Her current role is Group Chief of Staff, now held by Clement O’Reilly, current Head of Operations and Total Reward at MultiChoice Africa.

Simon Camerer, currently Director of Customer Service, has been appointed COO of MultiChoice South Africa.

Gideon Khobane, current CEO of SuperSport, will take over as executive of the general entertainment group. M-Net CEO Nkateko Mabaso has been appointed the group’s programming executive, where he will oversee all of the group’s commissions.
