The request for bail of former rugby player Zane Kilian, charged with the murder of Anti-Gang Unit detective Charl Kinnear, has been transferred to another court for security reasons.
The case was postponed several times so that authorities could find a court safe enough for the request.
The matter will now be heard in Bellville Regional Court for several days: October 26, 27 and 30.
Kilian’s brief appearance on Wednesday was again marked by heavy police coverage.
In his last appearance, he denied murdering Kinnear.

Kinnear was shot in front of his home on Friday, September 18.
Kilian was arrested in Springs, Gauteng, on September 21.
He faces charges of murder, conspiracy to murder, and illegal wiretapping.
