JOHANNESBURG – A woman who filed a sexual harassment complaint against the acting leader of the Democratic Alliance (DA) in Gauteng, Solly Msimanga, said Wednesday that since it became public, more women have approached her with similar stories of experiences with the same leader.

Nkele Molapo recalled a specific day that Msimanga took her after a debate in Pretoria when he allegedly stalked her in his car outside her home.

Molapo claimed that he prevented her from getting out of his car and said “I love you”, touching her inappropriately while she called him and said no.

He stated that more women wanted to come forward but were too scared.

“I have our colleagues in the party, people who work in the party but I cannot mention their names. I hope they gather enough strength to come and speak for themselves, and then maybe they won’t have to answer why now, ”Molapo said.

“They’re telling me, ‘You’re doing this for all of us. We’ve been there, Nkele, we know what you’re talking about. I just pray that they gather enough strength, “he added.

Msimanga denied the allegations, saying he would undergo a lie detection test to prove his innocence. He opened a counterclaim against Molapo for the crime of injury.

“I will contact my attorney and hope she is ready to give those names,” she said.
