JOHANNESBURG – The South African Democratic Nursing Organization in Gauteng demands that Prime Minister David Makhura consider the possibility of a special license as the Special Investigation Unit continues its investigation into corruption in PPE tenders.

Denosa held a special Provincial Executive Committee meeting on developments around Gauteng Health’s MEC Bandile Masuku.

The union says Makhura dodged the bullet too many times on health-related issues in the province.

On Friday, Makhura fired Bandile Masuku as a health MEC after an SIU report found that he did not comply with the constitution.

A week earlier, Professor Mkhululi Lukhele resigned as Gauteng’s Health Director, days after being suspended for irregularities in the PPE tender.

Meanwhile, Denosa has rated both doctors 10 out of 10 for their performance.

Makhura says that he can reinstall Masuku if he is free from corruption.

Meanwhile, the fired MEC prepares to challenge the SIU report.
