BRYANSTON – Electronic call drivers have blocked the main entrance to an office park in Bryanston from where Bolt SA operates, saying they would not move until top management came out and heard them.
The drivers are demanding that the business be regulated and they also call for an end to the exploitation of the operators.
The wiretap drivers have warned they will camp outside until Bolt’s top management leaves their offices to accept their request.
Previously, they gave the firm’s managers 30 minutes to leave, but no one showed up.
Bolt reportedly sent lawyers and consultants to accept the memo, but they refused to listen.
They said they weren’t moving, as one driver explained: “If they can’t meet us halfway, we’re going to sit here and we’re going to identify a black app that is run by a black person.”
The leadership of the drivers was previously seen entering through the main entrance with some security guards and members of the police.
