Cristiano Ronaldo has responded to Kylian Mbappé’s post-match message after their Nations League encounter.
Neither of the forwards could rise to the scoreboard in the 0-0 draw, tied at the top of Group 3 of League A at seven points.
It was a special occasion for the 21-year-old, who revered the Juventus forward as a child.
And he saw the PSG man message Ronaldo on Instagram, sharing a photo of the couple on the field as he simply typed “idol” and added crown and goat emojis.
But the forward only needed an emoji to reply on the social media site, simply using a fist pump emoji in his story.

The pair enjoyed several moments on the field, which also included a laugh before the second half began.
Ronaldo whispered something into the Frenchman’s ear before hitting his head and giggling as the forward laughed.
And the couple also shared a full-time hug, as they both failed to find the back of the net at the Stade de France.
Mbappé, who has scored 15 goals in 37 appearances for his country at just 21, has spoken about his adulation for Ronaldo in the past.
“He is a hero from my childhood and it was amazing meeting him when I visited Valdebebas,” he said.
“But I am a competitor and a person who is very competitive and all I want to do is win, win, win. So it really doesn’t matter who is in front of us, we want to win.”
“I admired him when I was younger, but that’s over. Now I’m going to the Bernabéu to play and win.”
“You can learn a lot from someone who has won five Ballon d’Or. He is a great player, but I have them here too.
“Neymar is here and I think he is very similar and is practically at the same level as Cristiano Ronaldo.”
