A manhunt of unknown suspects is underway after two women died point blank in Polokwane on Saturday morning.
According to the police spokesman, Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo, the incident occurred around 10:00 and a fourth suspect was waiting in a getaway vehicle, a red Hyundai sedan with Gauteng plates.
Mojapelo said preliminary investigations have revealed that the women were busy with a local real estate agent and were looking at different business premises for rent.
“Three suspects, two armed with firearms, accosted the two women seated in their motor vehicle and began shooting and killing them instantly.”
Later, the suspects ran towards their getaway vehicle that was parked nearby and fled at high speed.
Mojapelo added that the motive for the murder has yet to be determined as investigations continue.
Anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects should contact Brigadier James Espach at 082 576 0743 or Lieutenant Colonel Richard Boshomane at 079 894 5501 or Crime Stop at 086 001 0111.
