A whale carcass has made landfall in Cape Town.
The National Maritime Rescue Institute (NSRI) has called on the public to be cautious off the coast of False Bay after a whale carcass washed ashore at Strandfontein.
According to NSRI spokesman Craig Lambinon, the City of Cape Town waste disposal management was making arrangements to remove the body over the next two days.
