JOHANNESBURG – Representatives of the KwaSizabantu Mission on Wednesday asked the chairman of the CRL Rights Commission to refrain from presiding over hearings on allegations of abuse within the church.
It follows David Masoma’s interview with News24 on Tuesday night in which he claimed that religion was being abused in KwaSizabantu.
Attorney Keith Matthee said Masoma prejudged the mission without hearing his side first.
“You have fundamentally committed to yourself and this entire process. And you know that there is correspondence between us and this commission for the last three [or] four days in which we pointed out that only in his letters he prejudged. This interview is conclusive proof that you established a judge without listening to us, ”he said.
