Two suspects have been arrested for the murder of the Free State farm manager, Brendin Horner.

Violent scenes broke out in Senekal Magistrates Court when a group of angry farmers wanted to take justice into their own hands.
Two shots were fired, a police vehicle overturned and set on fire, and court property was damaged by angry farmers from the Free State, who forced their way into holding cells.

The group allegedly wanted to personally avenge the death of 22-year-old farm manager Brendin Horner.
Horner’s body hung from a post Friday in an open field in Paul Roux.
The farmers were angry after a brief court appearance of Sekwetje Isaiah Mahlamba, 32, and Sekola Piet Matlaletsa, 44.
The men were arrested for Horner’s murder.
Police spokesman Brigadier Motantsi Makhele said the case against the defendants had been postponed until October 16.
Makhele said that shortly after Mahlamba and Matlaletsa were arrested, a rebel group of farmers broke into the court building.
“They demanded that the suspects be turned over to them. They damaged court property as they made their way to the court cells. A police van parked outside the court building was also overturned and set on fire. “So far the situation is tense, but it is under control. This group fired two shots and no one was injured,” Makhele said.
