Game and Makro’s Black Friday 2020 plans

Game and Makro will run Black Friday deals throughout the month of November instead of launching deals for a restricted period of three to five days starting on November 27.

This deal will involve extending the deals through the month of November rather than concentrating the deals on just one week or one day, said Massmart, which owns both retailers.

“Black Friday traditionally sees high concentrations of shoppers in retail stores across the country, which can create a challenging shopping environment,” said Brian Leroni, corporate affairs executive at Massmart.

“Therefore, we have made the decision to reinvent the way we do Black Friday in 2020.

“In an effort to create a more consumer-friendly Black Friday experience while complying with all social distancing and Covid-19 protocols, Makro and Game have made the decision to extend the duration of our Black Friday promotion. ”.

Leroni said the decision to keep a month of deals comes after analyzing information from previous years’ Black Friday shoppers.

He said the extended period will provide customers with more opportunities and time to benefit from Black Friday pricing, as stores launch new deals every week during the month of November.

“These specials will only be posted during the week they are advertised and will not be offered again, so we encourage buyers to take advantage of the deals each week, rather than waiting until the end of November as they normally would,” he said. Leroni.

He said more information on the deals will be provided in the coming weeks, including some expensive items like large appliances, electronics, household items, televisions and more.

“As always, trailers for some of the offers will be available on Game and Makro’s social media feeds and email newsletters,” he said.

“Customers can subscribe to Game and Makro newsletters on each of the brand’s websites to get previews.”
