CAPE TOWN – An alleged “fixer” for Dudu Myeni has been questioned in the state’s capture investigation about his relationship with the former SAA board chairman.

Nicholas Linnell today gave evidence of his involvement as a consultant with a number of state entities, including SAA and Eskom.

The power company was back in the spotlight on Monday with more evidence from the former consultant.

It is the 276th day of the commission and the investigation is mainly focused on the participation of Eskom and Myeni in the electricity company.

Testifying via video link, consultant Linnell told the commission that he had met with Myeni at the Pretoria residence of former President Jacob Zuma.

He wanted an investigation into Eskom matters.

The leader of the tests, Pule Seleka, asked Linnell if he was a Myeni solver.

“He says Nick Linnell is now Mr Fix It for Dudu Myeni. Every time he gets in trouble, Nick Linnell has been running around trying to put out fires and that includes the water board in Richard’s Bay. “

Linnell denied it, but confirmed that he worked for Myeni.

“I think it’s an unreasonable association or narrative to put it in the context that I was involved in a series of cases where things were fixed in the right sense, so that could be fairly attributed. The narrative itself is probably not reasonable. “

His testimony continues.
