England coach Eddie jones has named two Players born in South Africa – Simon Kerrod Y David ribbans – on your team for a three-day training camp this week.
Kerrod, 28, a tight-headed mainstay who plays for Harlequins, went to Pretoria Boys’ High and played for the Sharks, EP Kings and Border Bulldogs at the Currie Cup level before moving to Europe with the Jersey Reds in 2016.
He joined Harlequins last year.
Ribbans, meanwhile, is a 25-year-old lock and had been part of the Western Province structures before moving to the Northampton Saints in 2017.
The three-day camp, which includes 28 players and begins in London on Tuesday, does not include players from the Exeter Chiefs, Wasps, Bristol Bears, Bath, Sale Sharks and Worcester Warriors given those teams’ upcoming matches in the English Premiership.
England has a busy end to what has been a 2020 hit by the pandemic.
They will face the Barbarians on October 25, Italy in Rome on October 31 as part of the Six Nations and then play four games in the Nations Cup.
