JOHANNESBURG – Police have launched a manhunt for the murderer of Sedibeng city manager Stanley Khanyile.
Witnesses say Khanyile appeared to be minding his own business when a hail of bullets raged in his car.
Khanyile was reportedly shot six times by an unknown suspect, described by witnesses as a man in his twenties.

The 52-year-old man was released on bail of 50,000 rand.
He and three other businessmen were arrested by the Hawks and charged with fraud, theft and money laundering related to his time as head of Social Development in the Eastern Cape.
He was due to appear in court on October 16.

Those who witnessed the shooting say Khanyile appeared to be unaware of any suspects as his car was parked in reverse.
Minutes before he was shot, Khanyile was apparently on the phone.
His family declined to comment on the killing, but said times are tough.
Cooperative Government Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma is shocked by the death and has sent her condolences.
