American actor and comedian Jim Carrey nailed his performance as Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden in Saturday night live debut.
As the new season of SNL began, the comedic actor left audiences divided with his impression of the former vice president as the NBC variety show took over this week’s presidential debate.
When the program opened, a voice was heard saying: “The following is a rebroadcast of the presidential debate on Tuesday, although Tuesday is 100 days old.”
“We thought it was important to see it again as it could be the only presidential debate. And it was really fun to watch, as long as you don’t live in the United States, ”added the narrator.
The camera then moves on to Beck Bennett playing moderator Chris Wallace as he introduces Alec Baldwin’s Donald Trump on stage during sketch.
“And you took the Covid test that you promised to take in advance, correct?” the moderator asked Baldwin’s Trump.
He then proceeds to call Joe Biden from Jim Carrey.
Carrey comes out as the Democratic nominee and says, “Just a second, Chris,” while measuring the six-foot distance between him and Trump.
The hilarious segment emphasized the two White House hopefuls, as the skit involved the two actors yelling at each other before Maya Rudolph’s Kamala Harris chimed in.
“Look at me, Donald. You don’t treat my Joe like that. He’s a good boy,” he tells Baldwin’s Trump.
