Queen Elizabeth II had ‘deliberately’ failed to display the photo of the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle at the table during his Christmas speech in 2019.
the Sun cited an explosive new book Battle of brothers saying Prince Harry and Meghan, who stepped down as royals in early 2020, were left out of the photos displayed on the queen’s table during her Christmas speech in 2019.
Book author Robert Lacey, who claims to have spoken to various insiders while writing the book, says that “the absence of the photo of Meghan and Harry at Queen’s table during their Christmas speech was ‘deliberate'”
Meanwhile, there are reports that the Queen has canceled all major events at Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle for the remainder of 2020 amid the coronavirus pandemic and, after the reports, Meghan and Harry were considering visit the UK before Christmas.
The Palace said in a statement: “In accordance with current government guidelines, and as a sensible precaution under the current circumstances, there will be no large-scale events at Buckingham Palace or Windsor Castle for the remainder of this year.
“A variety of possibilities were examined to see if it was possible for Investigations to be carried out safely according to the guidelines. Unfortunately, due to the large number of guests and recipients who attended, it was not possible to find a way to deliver these events in the current circumstances. Recipients will be contacted directly.
“The Queen’s intention remains to return to Windsor Castle in October and to resume the use of Buckingham Palace during an autumn program of hearings and engagements, in accordance with all relevant guidance and advice.”
