IPhone owners need to factory reset their phones to fix iOS 14 battery issues

IOS 14 users have reported major battery issues, and Apple recommends running a factory reset to resolve it.

Users have complained since the release of Apple’s latest operating system that the battery is draining faster than it should be.

Apple has now published a support guide which details a number of issues that users have reported in iOS 14.

These include:

  • Health data is missing
  • Health routes are missing
  • Damaged fitness apps
  • Higher battery consumption

Apple said that to fix the battery drain issue, you need to unlink your iPhone from any other device, backup your devices to iCloud, and then perform a factory reset on both devices.

This is how you do it:

  • Unpair your Apple Watch from your iPhone using the Watch app.
  • Go to iCloud settings and make sure the Health app is set to backup.
  • Select iCloud Backup and choose Back Up Now. If this is unsuccessful, you may need to make more space in iCloud or your phone storage.
  • Navigate in iOS 14 to Settings> General> Reset> Erase all content and settings.
  • Turn your smartphone back on and choose to restore from your iCloud backup.

While Apple said this would help fix the battery drain issue, it was unclear if this would help with health and fitness issues as well.

iOS problems

The aforementioned issues are not the only issues that iOS users have faced since upgrading to Apple’s latest smartphone operating system.

Various reports show that many devices suffer from Wi-Fi issues causing them to constantly disconnect from their connections.

This results in the user reverting to data usage, which has the potential to cost users a significant amount of money.

Also, while iOS 14 users were excited to finally be able to set third-party mail and browser apps as default, a bug caused some users to revert to using the default Apple apps, Mail, and Safari, after restarting their phones. smart.

However, both issues have been fixed in iOS 14.0.1, which is now available.
