Chrissy Teigen shared an emotional post on Instagram after the loss of her son.
“We’re shocked and with the kind of deep pain that you only hear about, the kind of pain that we’ve never felt before,” the model shared.
“We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite the bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough. “
Teigen was placed on bed rest earlier this month after complications with her pregnancy.
The 34-year-old added that she and her husband, John Legend, had chosen a name for their unborn baby.
“We never decide the names of our babies until the last possible moment after they are born, just before leaving the hospital.”
“But we, for some reason, had started calling this little one in my belly Jack. Then he will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be part of our little family, and he will be forever. “
The mother of two, Miles and Luna, continued: “For our Jack, I am very sorry that the first moments of your life have had so many complications that we were unable to provide you with the home you needed to survive. We will always love you. “
