Chippa United has decided not to stay with the trio of Orlando Pirates Diamond Thopola, Tercious Malope and Meshack Maphangule.

Thopola, Malepe and Maphangule will now return to the parent club, the Pirates, who will then decide whether to keep them, loan them for another season, or release them from their contracts.

“Diamond Thopola, Tercious Malepe and Meshack Maphangule, who were loaned by the Orlando Pirates Football Club. Their loan contracts have expired and they will not return for the 2020/21 season,” Chippa said in a statement.

The trio follow Thabo Rakhale, Boikanyo Komane and Gerald Modisane through the exit door after they were also released upon expiration of their contracts with Chippa United.

“Thabo Rakhale, Boikanyo Komane and Gerald Modisane have expired their contracts. The club will not renew their contracts,” the statement added.

Furthermore, the Chilli Boys confirmed their separation with no less than seven other players in Ruzaigh Gamildien, Lehlogonolo Masalesa, Kelvin Moyo, Elvis Moyo, Phetso Maphanga, Ryan Baartman and William Twala.

According to the club, the contracts of the aforementioned players were terminated by mutual agreement.

Finally, Athini Jobodwana will be loaned along with Ronaldo Maarman for the next season.

Jobodwana, 26, only joined Chippa United from Steenberg United during the January transfer window and made nine appearances in all competitions.

“Following the meetings with the players, mutual agreements were reached to terminate the contracts of Ruzaigh Gamildien, Lehlohonolo Masalesa, Kelvin Moyo, Elvis Moyo, Phetso Maphanga, Ryan Baartman and William Twala,” he added.

“Athini Jodwana, who joined the club in January, will be loaned out for the 2020/21 season along with Ronaldo Maarman.”

The latest developments are seen as Lehlohonolo Seema’s attempts to work with the players of his choice as he begins work on a new project following his arrival from Bloemfontein Celtic a few weeks ago.

The Chilli Boys are expected to replace outgoing players with new faces in preparation for the 2020-21 season that begins in October.
