Like your favorite reality show, some of South Africa’s biggest names in the music industry simply continue to serve drama.

In what could only be described as season 2, episode 2 of the show Prince Kaybee verses Black Coffee, the two DJs exchanged words again on Twitter.

And as usual, they were fighting words.

It all started when Kaybee decided to share an interview clip in which controversial producer Nhlamulo “Note” Baloyi suggested that Nasty C only signed to Def Jam Records because of who he knows and not because he is one of Mzansi’s biggest stars like Prince Kaybee. .

Kaybee uploaded the clip to his Twitter account and said: “When I said that I am the best selling DJ, they called me arrogant. There you have a partner ”.

The tweet received mixed reactions from tweeps.

Some said Nota “was wrong” while others asked Kaybee how he could say he was the best DJ when Black Coffee was still alive and well.

When asked by a tweep if he was bigger than Black Coffee, in a now-deleted tweet he said: “Much more friend, my numbers are insane, but as I am, it will not be trending or noticeable.”

Naturally, this got TL talking and DJs soon caught on.

While Coffee fans responded to Kaybee, the “Hosh” hitmaker tried to clarify what he wanted to say, but his explanation came a bit late.

“I didn’t say I’m bigger than him, I said Rremino (my album) made over 150 million views, making it the best-selling house music album since 2019. Please stop creating stories,” he tweeted. Kaybee.

However, the receipts don’t lie.

Coffee responded to Kaybee with what the tweeps have tagged, a mature approach.

“Comparison is a thief of joy, do your thing.”
