Hoddle said about Oxlade-Chamberlain in The Weekend Preview: “For me Oxlade-Chamberlain is another that gives them a different dimension. You need to stay in shape.

“There are goals in him, and creating him in a different way than other of the other players in that midfield. So I think if they keep him fit too, it’s almost like a new player coming in as well.

Statistics

Oxlade-Chamberlain has had injury problems during his time at Liverpool, although he did well when he was called into action last season.

According to WhoScored, the 27-year-old made 17 starts and 13 backup appearances in the league for the Reds last season, scoring four goals and providing an assist in the process.

The English international also made three starts and two substitutes in the Champions League for the Merseyside club last season, scoring three goals and providing an assist in the process, according to WhoScored.

Stay in Liverpool

According to The Mirror, Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in signing Oxlade-Chamberlain from Liverpool in the summer transfer window, although the same publication has stated in another report that the Premier League champions do not plan to sell him.

Liverpool are aiming to win the Premier League title again this season, and the midfielder will play his role in that quest.
