After three victories in three matches, Mikel Arteta has several selection dilemmas that coaches like.
Two scoring forwards are vying for a starting spot, reserve options in midfield are putting pressure on the starters and the worst of the injury crisis may be about to wear off.
Even in full force, Arsenal will face a great challenge to overcome the Premier League champions, although it is one where Arteta’s side have proven themselves on two separate occasions in recent months.
Three wins out of three against Jurgen Klopp would be quite an achievement for Arteta in his fledgling coaching career, but what should he do to have the best possible chance of victory at Anfield?

Arsenal have savored success against Liverpool in recent months, but Monday’s game will show how far they have come with Mikel Arteta.
The Reds rarely lose at home and always score, so the Gunners need to be resolute at the back and also be ruthless in attack as they will create opportunities at Anfield.
Two big decisions Arteta faces are on his back three. David Luiz and Kieran Tierney should be available, so I’d be tempted to use the same defensive setup that started the Community Shield win.
And that also means Mohamed Elneny gets the nod in midfield over Dani Ceballos, who said he struggled to cope with Liverpool’s pressure in the game at Anfield a year ago.
These are the games Willian has been hired for and he needs a great performance, while I would start with Eddie Nketiah over Alexandre Lacazette as center forward.

It is intriguing that few of the positions on this side that I feel are absolutely guaranteed. That’s the advantage of having so many players in good shape.
I was intrigued by Tashan’s suggestions that Elneny replace Ceballos and it’s fair to point out that he was on edge at Anfield 13 months ago. But a lot has changed since then and if I had to rely on an Arsenal midfielder to do the hard work in midfield, it would be the Spaniard.
The last three are another place where you could make a compelling multiplayer case. Rob Holding is steadily improving and seems to fit well to the right of the back three, allowing Luiz to play in his best position in center.
And yet Gabriel Magalhaes has started so well since joining from Lille that it feels incumbent upon Arteta to trust him most of the time. That means putting it in the middle of the bottom three. If Tierney is in shape, you just have to start.
The last topic worth serious consideration is Willian or Nicolas Pepe. As Tashan points out, you want a seasoned veteran on your team for games like this. Likewise, having the Ivorian, Bukayo Saka and Eddie Nketiah on the bench gives Arteta a lot of potential changes to the game.
