Condolences from fans and friends of Mluleki Mbewana, known as Drip King on social media, have been pouring in after he was shot and killed on Wednesday night.
According to police, at 11:45 p.m. on September 23, two men got into an argument while leaving a room on Intersite Avenue in Springfield, Durban. Then they shot a 32-year-old boy.
While Mbewana was claimed to have been shot in Durban’s elite champagne and cigar lounge Rich Durban, the owner of the establishment denied the claims and said they were already closed when the incident occurred.
“The incident happened in the parking lot of the shopping center,” salon owner Kgolo Mthembu told News24 on Friday.
“We were already closed at the time,” he said.
Mthembu added that he was surprised to learn of the shooting. He added that he was concerned about allegations that the shooting occurred in the living room.
