Manchester United are reportedly set to present a final “take it or leave it” offer for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.
United has been chasing England striker throughout the summer, but they have been unable to come to terms with the German side, which has insisted that they will not give up on their £ 108 million starting price.
But according to Sport mirror, the Red Devils will issue a final offer of £ 75 million upfront with an additional £ 15 million in add-ons.
The report adds that Ed Woodward will inform Dortmund that there will be no negotiations on the rate or structure of the deal.
UnitedHowever, he will face a major battle to close a deal before the October 5 deadline.
The Red Devils made a breakthrough in talks about Sancho’s salaries and agent fees earlier this month. But so far they have not been able to reduce their price.
Dortmund manager Sebastian Kehl said earlier this week that Sancho would not be sold on a bargain deal.
In fact, he suggested that United had made an offer in the region of £ 73 million for Sancho.
Kehl said Sport 1: “We agreed that we had to show some attitude. And 80 million euros is simply not enough for such a player.
“We owed it to the club and the fans. I don’t want to give it up either. Without Jadon, this team is worse. “
Sancho has started the new season strong again. He has scored one goal and two assists in his first two games.
Alternative Sancho options lined up
For its part, United is also plotting moves for Sancho’s alternatives, in case its final offer fails.
Watford Ismaila Sarr is one of those options. A report on Monday claimed that the Old Trafford club had made a breakthrough on a possible deal.
Another alternative is the long-term goal Ivan Perisic, who impressed on loan to Bayern Munich from Inter Milan last season.
The 31-year-old will leave San Siro before the deadline, and Football transfers states United is the most likely destination.
The club is locked in negotiations with Porto on left back Alex Telles which is out of contract next summer.
The signing of a new center-back is also at stake after the lamentable defensive performance against Crystal Palace.
