Blue origin plans to launch the thirteenth unmanned flight of its New Shepard suborbital system on Thursday, September 24, 2020. The launch was planned in partnership with NASA’s Space Technology Mission Directorate.
This will also be the first test of the 2020 New Shepard rocket; The rocket’s previous flight was in December 2019. Blue Origin will use its New Shepard rocket to simulate a landing on the Moon.

When is the NS-13 mission launch?
A launch time has been set for 10:00 local time. However, it would be 11:00 Eastern Time, as well as 3:00 PM Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and 5:00 PM South African Standard Time (SAST) on Thursday, September 24.

This will also mark the seventh launch and landing of the New Shepard rocket. According to Blue Origin, the rocket will carry 12 payloads, including NASA’s descent, descent and landing sensor demonstration.

What is Project Artemis?
In March 2019, Mike Pence issued a challenge to NASA to shorten the schedule for the Artemis project. Artemis planned to make its first lunar landing in 2028. However, Pence asked NASA to move the launch to 2024.
