The past week has been monumental for the Reds. Liverpool have signed Thiago Alcantara and Diogo Jota, two statement purchases. Soon after, Jürgen Klopp’s men pushed Chelsea aside at Stamford Bridge and headed for victory in West London. Things could continue to improve, according to France Football, Liverpool have agreed on a fee for Ismaila Sarr.
That week
After months of being tortured by rumors in the press, Liverpool signed Thiago Alcantara.
The Spaniard was entering the final year of his contract with Bayern Munich and had allegedly told the club that he was unwilling to sign a new contract.
This opened the door for the Reds to sign the Spaniard for just £ 20 million plus £ 5 million in bonuses.
A day later, we were all surprised by the signing of Diogo Jota from Wolves, the 23-year-old who came in for 41 million pounds.
The boys celebrated these signings with a comfortable 2-0 win over Chelsea, which saw a record debut from Thiago Alcantara.
Liverpool agrees to Ismaila Sarr’s rate
According to France Football, Liverpool have agreed to a € 35-40 million (£ 32 million) fee for Watford’s Ismaila Sarr.
The Senegalese winger has been consistently linked with the Reds this summer and has 27 appearances for Senegal, playing alongside Sadio Mane.
France Football has claimed that the club will agree to a £ 5.5 million salary with the 22-year-old Hornets winger.
What does RTK have to say
Lots of crap if you ask us.
This would only make sense if the Divock Origi were sold. There is also the consideration that James Pearce has stated in no uncertain terms that the Reds will not make any more purchases this summer.
If Jurgen Klopp were to bring in another player, then a fourth-choice center-back would surely be the priority over another forward.
We’re pretty sure it was Jota or Sarr, not Jota and Sarr.
