Graeme Souness says Arsenal barely managed to get away with it yesterday against West Ham.
The Gunners struggled but eventually beat a very stubborn West Ham 2-1 at the Emirates.
After dispatching Fulham 3-0 in their first league game, they were expected to clinch an easy win against the struggling team of David Moyes.
However, that was not the case, as the Gunners were held back after Alexandre Lacazette opened the scoring for them.
Eddie Nketiah came off the bench to score the winning goal to help Arteta’s team to two wins in as many games.
However, Souness believes that while Arsenal’s attack is doing very well, other areas of his team are not good enough and that will affect them in the future.
He praised the Gunners for the creativity and shooting ability that helped them win, but added that they will have to do better in the future.
He said via Mail Online: ‘Arsenal got away with one tonight. I think it showed that Arsenal have genuine creativity and real firepower up front.
“I thought the rest of the team looked normal and that could cost them as the season progresses.
But when you have special creative players and players who can finish off those opportunities, that’s the difference tonight.
“At the top end, Arsenal are very good, the rest is not so sure, but we will find out in the next nine months.”
