Maverick Viñales took pole position at Misano for the second week in a row in Saturday’s qualifying for Emilia-Romagna MotoGP.
South Africa Brad binder, was only 0.312 seconds off the pace and qualified in sixth position.
At last weekend’s San Marino Grand Prix, the Spaniard who is racing for Yamaha couldn’t capitalize and finished sixth.

Ducati-Pramac’s Italian Francesco Bagnaia posted a faster time at the end of the session, becoming the first rider to go down below 1 minute 31 seconds, but hit the green paint out of bounds on both tires on the final corner and his time was washed
Australian Jack Miller on the other Pramac was second, Frenchman Fabio Quartararo on a Yamaha-SRT completed the front row of the grid.
Miller, who had a crash in morning practice, had been out of the top ten after practice, so he had to go through prequalification to earn one of two spots in the final shootout for the first four rows.
“We did it the hard way but we are here,” said the Australian.
Quatararo lost the championship lead after failing to finish last week.
“My goal was to start in the front row,” he said.
