JOHANNESBURG – The Pretoria Magistrates Court postponed the case of Norma, the wife of former Finance Minister Malusi Gigaba, on Monday morning after her appearance.
Gigaba, who chose to use her Mngoma maiden name, was arrested in July on charges of willful damage to property and felony injury related to the damage to a Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG belonging to her husband’s friend.

She argued in an urgent court request that her arrest by the Hawks was an orchestrated plan to intimidate, harass, and gain illegal access to her devices.
His legal team is challenging the rationality and legality of the arrest warrant used.
Mngoma claims that prior to his arrest, the Hawks seized all of his devices and then allegedly deleted messages, images and data from them for reasons he had not yet publicly disclosed.
His case was postponed until October 23 so that he could challenge his arrest.
