Here are the Liverpool night headlines for Sunday September 13

Mbappé gives ‘transfer request’

Kylian Mbappé has reportedly told Paris Saint-Germain that he will leave the club at the end of the 2020/21 season.

According to the Times , the winner of the World Cup in France, who signed for PSG in 2018 in the second most expensive transfer in history, wants to move to the Premier League or La Liga.

Mbappé has previously spoken very positively about Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp.

“This season Liverpool have been a machine in the Premier League. They have made winning look easy, but the truth is that it is never easy. ” said in january .

“To be as ruthless as they have been would come from having a very good manager and a lot of hard work in training. Performances like the ones they’ve had don’t happen by chance ”.

Thiago’s accusation of “blackmail”

Amid the rumored interest from Liverpool and Manchester United throughout the summer, Uli Hoeness has claimed that the English pair are trying to “blackmail” Bayern Munich into selling Thiago Alcántara cheaply.

Thiago has one year left on his contract and refuses to sign a new one. Liverpool have been widely inclined to sign the Spanish international as they look to bolster their central midfield options, especially with Georginio Wijnaldum who also has just one year left on his contract.

The club indicated earlier this summer that Thiago was not an active target, but it remains to be seen if the situation develops.

However, the Reds are now coming under fire for an allegedly delayed chase of the Bayern star.

“We offered him a great four-year deal, but at the last minute he changed his mind and told us he wanted a new challenge,” said former Bayern boss Hoeness. Sport1 via Sport mole .

“He probably has a deal with Liverpool or Manchester United, or both. Neither club has made an offer to us.

“They are lying and want to blackmail us by waiting until the last week and then making a cheap offer. Bayern must decide if they want to play this game or stand firm and stay with Thiago ”.

Goalkeeper deal for £ 1 million

Liverpool have reached an agreement to sign Fluminese goalkeeper Marcelo Pitaluga. The 17-year-old said goodbye to his teammates earlier this week before the Merseyside transfer.

He will now complete his medical examination, and Liverpool expect to formalize and complete the deal this week. Fluminese reportedly has a 25% sale clause, as well as another £ 800,000 in riders.

“I am very grateful to Fluminense,” said Pitaluga. “I was 10 years at this club, from futsal, going through [the youth ranks], until I reached the professional ranks.

“They have always treated me very well and I had all the necessary assistance for my development, both personal and athlete.”
