Archie, the son of Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry, keeps interrupting his Zoom calls.

The couple have been attending a series of virtual meetings and appearances during the coronavirus pandemic, but their 16-year-old son can’t help but be the center of attention.

Speaking on his ‘Heir Pod’ podcast, ‘Finding Freedom’ author Omid Scobie revealed that Archie has been a regular guest on Meghan and Harry’s calls.

He said: “I was delighted to discover their daily Zoom calls with the various initiatives and people they work with.

“And how Archie is no stranger to clambering in front of the webcam and making little impromptu cameos.”

Meanwhile, Harry recently admitted that he can’t wait for his son to play rugby.

He told Rugby Football League players, coaches and volunteers: “Probably what I need is some mini rugby balls and then get Archie involved in the game, because at the moment it’s impossible to find any.

“But I have a little space outside, which we are lucky to have, so I need him to play some Rugby League.”

Archie’s cousin, two-year-old Prince Louis, has similarly been getting in the way of Prince William and Duchess Catherine’s calls, and has even hung up on them.

William previously laughed: “For some reason, you see the red button and you always want to press the red button.”

And the 38-year-old royal admitted that he and his wife breathed a “sigh of relief” when Prince George, seven, and Princess Charlotte, five, were able to return to school a few days ago.

Although it has been “wonderful” to have them around at all times due to the coronavirus pandemic, he acknowledged that a long time has passed and he was ready for them to return.

William, who also has two-year-old Prince Louis with his wife, laughed while talking to a police officer during a visit to Belfast to mark Emergency Services Day and said: “I think all parents are breathing a I sigh of relief that school has started again.

“Five months, it has been wonderful, but it has been five long months.”
