Actress Bonnie Mbuli has criticized former EFF spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi for his comments about the alleged harassment of a journalist in one of the party’s national protests against a Clicks “racist” hair ad.

A video from the eNCA journalist Nobesuthu Hejana, who was pushed around by EFF members in Cape Town during a protest in front of a Clicks store, went viral this week, sparking a backlash and fierce debate over the party’s alleged treatment of women.

The incident occurred just hours after EFF members clashed with an eNCA cameraman outside Clicks in Goodwood, after EFF National President Veronica Mente asked the channel’s reporters to leave.

Mbuyiseni shared her take on the matter, saying that “just touching her is not harassment.”

“They are telling him that he can be here, but he was not allowed to speak to the EFF members. It means you were trying to interview them. I really don’t see harassment here. Simply touching her is not harassment. Touching has to be violent, invasive, or harmful to become harassment! “she claimed.
