Discontent Kaizer bosses fans have taken to Twitter to demand that Gavin hunt be appointed new head coach after firing of German tactician Ernst middendorp on Wednesday.

The 61-year-old was confirmed to have left the club by mutual consent after narrowly missing the Absa Premiership title on the final day of the season.

The Soweto giants revealed that “the style of play, the performances and the results” were considered before making the decision to move in a new direction.

“We really believed and hoped that our 50th anniversary would be better, and in fact it looked promising. The decision made is part of a strategy for the team to win trophies again and make our fans happy because they deserve better,” said the president Kaizer. Motaung said.

Fans, who saw Amakhosi narrowly lose the league title after leading the standings for more than a calendar year, are now demanding that the club sign Gavin Hunt.

The former Bidvest Wits mentor is now a free agent after the recent sale of the club’s PSL status. Bafana legend Bafana Benni McCarthy has also been linked to the vacant position and is available after leaving Cape Town.

The Chiefs confirmed that they will announce their new appointment as head coach before the team returns for preseason training in late September.
