Mthethwa describes the Swiss court’s ruling against Semenya as an injustice
The two-time Olympic champion lost an appeal against the restriction of testosterone in female athletes.

CAPE TOWN – Sports Minister Nathi Mthethwa described the Swiss Federal Court’s ruling against Caster Semenya as an injustice.
The two-time Olympic champion lost an appeal against the restriction of testosterone in female athletes.
Semenya has been fighting the Court of Arbitration’s ruling last year that she should take medication to lower her testosterone levels before she can compete.
Mthethwa said the ruling was a human rights violation: “We are studying the ruling, we are determined to do everything in our power to achieve it, even if it benefits someone else besides Caster Semenya.”
