JOHANNESBURG – The health department released the latest COVID-19 results on Wednesday.

Health Minister Dr. Zweli Mkhize said 1,990 new cases have been identified.

Another 82 COVID-19-related deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours.

Five The patients died in the Eastern Cape, eight in the Free State, 10 in KwaZulu-Natal, 10 in the Northwest, 22 in the Western Cape and 27 in Gauteng.

The total death toll is now 15,168.

The recovery rate is 88.7 percent and There have been 21,736 new tests since the last report.
