Volkswagen has shared a video of its president Herbert Diess accompanying Tesla CEO Elon Musk on a test drive of its electric hatchback, the ID.3.

The meeting took place over the weekend in Germany, near the automaker’s headquarters, while Musk was in the country to tour the upcoming Tesla factory near Berlin, as well as to meet with politicians and executives about the association of the company with Curevac to develop “RNA microfactories.”

In the short video, Musk can be seen driving the four-door car out of an airport hangar and around what appears to be an airport.

“It’s not a racing machine,” says Diess at one point.

“I just wanted to see what the acceleration was like,” Musk responds.

In a moment, it reaches 106 kilometers per hour.

“I think for a non-sports car it’s pretty good,” Musk said of the car’s handling and steering. The duo also discuss lane keeping technology and emergency assist technologies.

“To be clear: we just handled the ID.3 and had a chat, there is no deal / cooperation in the works,” Diess said in his LinkedIn post.
