Indian actress Sonam Kapoor recently reacted to Rhea Chakraborty’s arrest with a powerful quote expressing reproach for the move.
Hours after Rhea’s arrest by law enforcement officers, Sonam Kapoor took to her social media and reacted to the news by sharing a cryptic Instagram post.
Along with a post on patriarchy, he added the saying of American novelist Walter Norris Kirn: “Everyone loves witch hunts unless someone else is being hunted.”
After intensifying their investigation in relation to the Sushant Singh Rajput case, the authorities focused mainly on the drugs angle. And now, after three days of continuous questioning, the NCB has arrested the actress on drug acquisition charges.
Rhea Chakraborty was reportedly placed in court custody for 14 days, the move appears to divide Bollywood celebrities as they shared their different opinions on social media regarding this development.
Some of them have tried to justify on Rhea’s behalf by saying that she has been arrested for acquiring drugs and not on charges of murder or searching for gold. Among others who have sided with Rhea is Sonam Kapoor, who has shared an Instagram post that includes the quote: “Roses are red, violets are blue. Let’s end the patriarchy, you and me.”
